Through the experimental implementation of a new preventive programme by the World Health Organization, the Nutrition Friendly School Initiative (NFSI), which is aimed more at healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle, this paper will also assess the importance of the school preventive programmes in forming nutritional habits and the prevention of weight problems and obesity amongst children as well as the wider school community. In the first (theoretical) section of the work, the structure and concept of the existing preventive programmes for health promotion are analyzed. In the second (analytical) part of the work there was a description and evaluation of the situation in selected secondary schools in the Czech Republic in the areas of prevention and health education with regard to the requirements of the NFSI preventive programme. The third (experimental) part was dedicated to the trial NFSI preventive programme at three selected primary schools which differed in nature. |
